Shrubby St. John’s Wort (Hypericum prolificum)
I just love seeing the bees, especially bumblebees, all over the bright yellow flowers on this naturally rounded bush. It is the host plant to the very pretty Grey Hairstreak and 22 other butterflies and moths in our area (nwf.org) This plant is avoided by most herbivores due to the phototoxic chemicals in the leaves, thus, deer resistant!
